PEEK

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a thermoplastic polymer with a very high melting point (340°C). While this makes additive processing more difficult, the high heat resistance is the most important advantage of PEEK. With high strength, rigidity, and temperature resistance as well as excellent chemical resistance, PEEK is a great allrounder among high-performance plastics.

Advantages of PEEK:

  • highest mechanical strength and rigidity in comparison with all other high-performance plastics
  • high impact toughness
  • very high surface hardness
  • good creep resistance
  • very high chemical resistance
  • highest thermal capacity, maximum continuous service temperature: 250°C
  • physiologically harmless

PEEK - application fields:

  • aerospace
  • automotive
  • medical technology
  • electronics and electrical appliance
